The new report, \u201cThe State of Carbon Dioxide Removal\u201d, provides for the first time an overview of the global state of carbon removal \u2013 in particular, it looks at progress in the deployment of CDR measures, public awareness and the development of policy instruments and innovations in this field.<\/p>\n

The analysis shows that public interest in the issue of CO\u2082 removal is increasing. However, we are still removing only a small amount of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. The commitment of governments to the development of CO\u2082 removal methods is far too low to achieve our climate goals.<\/p>\n

The report is the first step towards a global assessment of the state of CDR and the gap we need to close.<\/p>\n

On 19 January, the main authors will present the key findings of the report.<\/p>\n
