CDR Experience Tour Bavaria 2026: On-Site CO₂ Removal

CDR Experience Tour 2026

CO₂ Removal in Bavaria: Insights into Ongoing Projects

Two days, multiple stops in the Munich area: The CDR Experience Tour 2026 takes participants to carbon dioxide removal (CDR) projects and provides insights into their implementation on-site.

The tour will visit facilities and companies that remove CO₂ from the atmosphere or develop related technologies. The focus will be on concrete applications and the question of how far along implementation actually is today.

CDR in Practice: Technologies and Challenges

On-site, the focus is on practical questions:

Which technologies are already in use?

What does day-to-day operation entail?

And what are the biggest hurdles right now—such as costs, scalability, or infrastructure?

In addition to insights into the projects, the event centers on dialogue with the stakeholders involved.

CO₂ Removal: Bridging Research and Application

The tour is part of CDRterra’s knowledge transfer activities. The goal is to link research on CO₂ removal with practical applications and to strengthen the exchange between academia and industry.

CDR Experience Tour: A Collaboration Among Multiple Partners

The CDR Experience Tour has already been implemented in other regions by the German Association for Negative Emissions and the startup accelerator remove. In parallel, a project titled “CDRSynDia – CO₂ Removal in Bavaria: Synergies Through Dialogue” has been launched, which pursues similar approaches for Bavaria.

For the 2026 tour, both approaches will be combined and scientifically supported by CDRterra.
