Shaping Climate Futures: CDRterra exhibition at the Deutsches Museum
How can carbon dioxide be removed from the atmosphere? What role can “Carbon Dioxide Removal” (CDR) play in tackling climate change? The exhibition “Shaping Climate Futures – Opportunities and Challenges of Carbon Dioxide Removal” presents current insights from the CDRterra Synthesis and transfer project CDRSyntra.
The exhibition opens on 17 June 2025 at the Science Communication Lab of the Deutsches Museum in Munich and runs until 29 June.
Developed jointly by CDRSynTra and the Deutsches Museum, the exhibition introduces the scientific basis of climate change and shows how CDR could contribute to reducing atmospheric CO₂. It explains how CDR methods work, what they can achieve, and what trade-offs must be considered.
Designed for a general audience, it invites visitors to engage with current research questions around carbon removal, climate policy, and technology assessment.
