The CDRterra research consortium is expanding its team: Two postdoctoral research positions at LMU Munich are now open. The positions focus on key topics in carbon dioxide removal (CDR) research, climate change mitigation, and ecosystem-climate interactions. Both positions are based at the Chair of Physical Geography and Land Use Systems (CDRterra spokeswoman Prof. Julia Pongratz).
Postdoc for ecosystem-climate interactions (m/f/x)
This position focuses on studying the interactions between ecosystems and the climate, including the role of land use and biodiversity in carbon storage under climate change. This position is not exclusively part of the CDRterra research program but contributes to several climate-relevant research projects, including the Global Carbon Project.
Postdoctoral researcher modeling and assessing terrestrial Carbon Dioxide Removal approaches (m/f/x)
This position focuses on developing models to analyze the potential and limits of different CDR methods (such as bioenergy, afforestation, or mineralization) and their integration into climate change mitigation scenarios.
