03.03.2023CO₂-negative building material

DACCUSS pre exhibition at the Deutsches Museum in Munich

Conventional building materials cause immense greenhouse gas emissions worldwide. Our project DACCUSS pre develops a novel building material that could contribute to the decarbonisation of construction: CFS® is a composite building material made of hard rock, algae-based carbon fibers and biochar. It can permanently store CO₂ in solid form.

From 06 – 26 March 2023, interested visitors can see the building material in the Science Communication Lab at the Deutsches Museum and learn more about the work of DACCUSS pre. Other, rather curious applications of the material will also be on display: for example, a guitar, skis, and much more.

The Science Communication Lab at the Deutsches Museum is open daily from 09.00 – 17.00.
